Remote desktop within remote desktop
If you're using the Remote Desktop into a Windows 2000/XP/Vista machine, you may
have noticed that the machine you have remoted into has ITS remote desktop icons
removed!
So, apparently, it seems that you cannot remote into one machine, then use that
one to remote into another. Or Microsoft doesn't want you to.
But you can. It's incredibly simple. Just run the Remote Desktop Client on the remote
machine:
Why would you want to do this anyway? Just as an example, you may want to leave
just one 'gateway' machine on at a remote location running VPN listener software.
If you want to get to any other machine on the network - you can't from the outside.
If you remote into the 'gateway' machine - from there (given the correct permissions
of course) - you can get to all the others on that network.
